March 5th 2008 by Mark Singleton in PigsKatrina sent in these great photos of three new piglets called Pumpkin, Butternut and Squash. They where given their names because they where born at Willows farm Village in St Albans, where everyone had been gearing up for the annual Pumpkin Festival.

I need to have one of these pennywell pigs. like badly. i have wanted a bot belly pig since i was about 7 and finally i am allowed to get one. can you even buy a pennywell pig or is it just for show? i will pay a large about of money for one if it has all the shots, sprayed/ neurdered and sweat glands out. message me back!!

I bought Tetley’s brother & sister, (I think Tetley is the one in the pic) from Pennywell farm and they are brilliant, very easy to keep, very funny and great with my other animals which include pygmy goats, chickens & horses. They lived in the porch when I first got them as they were tiny but now sleep with the goats at night, they eat sow & weaner nuts twice a day & have a bit of apple, carrot or grapes as a treat. They respond to their names and are so confident that even my dobermans love them! You will need a DEFRA number to keep them, well worth the £250 each!

Some equally silly person dumped a cat because it didn’t match her carpet. We wonder why animals end up living the lives they do when people use them as fashion accessories. The mind boggles but such people should be banned from having them, and i don’t think any reputable breeder would sell, I hope, to someone as stupid. One more animal saved if the person cant get one. Look up living creature needs responsible, intelligent owner.

The mini pigs come from penywell farm in devon…They cost £150 and yes they are sold in pairs. The pigs DO NOT stay that small forever! They grow to the size of a springer spaniel I regret to inform you all that as a result of pennywell’s overwhelmingly long waiting list of 2 years, the waiting list has been closed and you can no longer put your name down
on a brighter note, this breed of pig may also be found in New Zealand!! So there is hope yet!!

Hi everyone, well you will be pleased to know I have 15 piglets for sale ready by the end of May. My pigs are very similar, with a mix of KUNEKUNE POT BELLY AND WILD BOAR. they are very small as piglets fitting in one hand but they grow to the size of a fat springer spanial. you will not get one from that chris murray. my husband phoned the farm to buy some and one of his staff said they were not selling. me being me said that cant be right phoned back. he was calling them celebrity pigs, and that they were 150 each. then i realised that johnathon ross had bought some, hes bragging on every page hes on. hes now charging 250 each i wrote him a letter and complained, he wrote back, he may as well not of bothered. type in mini potbelly pigs for sale in uk they have got loads.

Anyone considering a pig should be fully aware that they need access to grass, wallow pond in the summer, vet attention (jabs) every 6 months, worming 8 months. If you have a small area they can cut up the land and should be kept moving so they avoid eating on the ground the poop on. Some breeds should not have an uncastrated (entire) male (boar) as they may not make good pets.
You will need to be DEFRA registered and I suggest you visit a breeder or farm before considering pigs.
They make great pets but are not just a cute piglet novelty.
Good luck to all those who will provide their pig with loving homes.

How much are you selling the mini pigs as a pair and how big will they grow to and when will the next litter be ready as these look like they would be ideal pets for the children and very eucational we have quite a bit of land so they would be well looked after we’ve had a japaness pork belly pig but grew to 28 stone and lived for 8yrs so you can imagine it was a lot of space to find so something smaller would be ideal could you get back to me with some imformation

These pigs will not stay teacup sized.
There is currently a 2 year or more waiting list.
They cost around two hundred and fifty pounds sterling each and only get sold in pairs.
They need vaccines, worming and are definatly not something anyone should buy on a whim.

Omg. These are the cutest/best pets in the world.
I would love to have this kind of a pet. I would give it all of my attention to it. I would give it pig walks once in the morning, once at night. (More if he/she wants to) (Less if it dosen’t want to)
I would give it proper vet care, and I will live my life bassed on this pig.
My only consern is that how big does this pig really get? Does it stay at a small-medium size?
Also if u could send some basic info on this pig, I could try to see if I can give it all of it’s needs.

I’m quite baffled by a lot of your comments. You all seem so serious about buying these pigs but don’t seem bothered with reading any of the answers yourselves. The question “how much are they” has come up a ridiculous amout of times when it has been answered on numerous occasions. If you are serious about buying some of the pigs then just READ THE COMMENTS!!!! it’s not difficult. In my eyes, if you are too lazy to read a few comments, then you are definately too lazy to own a miniture pig!!!!!!!

Hello i am the daughter of a pig farmer in cumbria which has rescentley closed down due to unfortunate circumstances, i would really like one of the minature piglets but we have recently moved to a detatched house in a small village.
