Cute Miniature Pigs
March 5th 2008 by Mark Singleton in PigsChris Murray’s Pennywell Pig from Devon in England has given birth to these cute miniature pigs. The pennywell miniature pig is a variant of a rare breed of pig from New Zealand. These tiny pigs supposedly make great pets and TV celebrity Jonathan Ross has even bought two of them. Chris says he is selling them in pairs so that they always have company.

Supposedly they only sell them in pairs.

I need to have one of these pennywell pigs. like badly. i have wanted a bot belly pig since i was about 7 and finally i am allowed to get one. can you even buy a pennywell pig or is it just for show? i will pay a large about of money for one if it has all the shots, sprayed/ neurdered and sweat glands out. message me back!!

I bought Tetley’s brother & sister, (I think Tetley is the one in the pic) from Pennywell farm and they are brilliant, very easy to keep, very funny and great with my other animals which include pygmy goats, chickens & horses. They lived in the porch when I first got them as they were tiny but now sleep with the goats at night, they eat sow & weaner nuts twice a day & have a bit of apple, carrot or grapes as a treat. They respond to their names and are so confident that even my dobermans love them! You will need a DEFRA number to keep them, well worth the £250 each!

somebody on these comments said a “pig would go with their house”
Some equally silly person dumped a cat because it didn’t match her carpet. We wonder why animals end up living the lives they do when people use them as fashion accessories. The mind boggles but such people should be banned from having them, and i don’t think any reputable breeder would sell, I hope, to someone as stupid. One more animal saved if the person cant get one. Look up living creature needs responsible, intelligent owner.

The mini pigs come from penywell farm in devon…They cost £150 and yes they are sold in pairs. The pigs DO NOT stay that small forever! They grow to the size of a springer spaniel I regret to inform you all that as a result of pennywell’s overwhelmingly long waiting list of 2 years, the waiting list has been closed and you can no longer put your name down
on a brighter note, this breed of pig may also be found in New Zealand!! So there is hope yet!!

Hi everyone, well you will be pleased to know I have 15 piglets for sale ready by the end of May. My pigs are very similar, with a mix of KUNEKUNE POT BELLY AND WILD BOAR. they are very small as piglets fitting in one hand but they grow to the size of a fat springer spanial. I am based near Redruth in Cornwall but not connected with Pennywell, I saw the article on the news. see pics here http://www.nickryall.com/Pigs/index.htm
They will cost you £150 each and I want to sell them in piars as pigs hate to live alone.
